        (The answer is not: because everybody seems to be obsessed with the Internet...) 
       I've been 
        asked many times why I chose to do a history honors project in hypertext, 
        instead of in the traditional paper form.  
      Since I think 
        that's a really valid and interesting question, I felt it was important 
        to address explicitly in some form on the site.  
      My answer 
        is in three parts:

          history makes sense in hypertext.

          might work particularly well in the medium of the Internet.
